FAQ
What is the CHARLI Health app?

CHARLI.app is the first Australian AI women’s health tracking app empowering Australians with evidenced-based information, diagnostic aids and management options for conditions such as menstruation, fertility, sexual health, pregnancy, and peri/menopause, pain and endometriosis.

It connects Australians with leading women’s health specialists via telehealth no matter where you live, including GPs, specialists, and allied healthcare practitioners.

CHARLI has been designed to be your health expert in your pocket - here to address the shame, silence, and stigma that still exists surrounding reproductive health-related symptoms.

CHARLI.app algorithms identify abnormal patterns in self-logged data and in future releases, also information from wearables, such as Apple watch or FitBit.

Based on this data, the app promotes lifestyle change and alerts users to consult their doctor about important reproductive conditions such as endometriosis.

We’re grateful to partner with Endometriosis Australia to support the 1 in 7 Australians living with endometriosis and promote a more rapid diagnosis and support.

Who developed CHARLI?

CHARLI Health has been developed and funded by a team of leading  women’s health and technology experts to give Australians unprecedented access to evidence-based information, diagnostic aids and management options for conditions such as menstruation, fertility, sexual health, pregnancy, and peri/menopause, pain, and endometriosis.

CHARLI.app uses secure AI technology, developed and tested with Australian women vetted by Australian medical and healthcare experts.

How is my data handled/protected?

We understand the personal and private nature of the information you share with CHARLI. That’s why we’ve taken measures to safeguard your data through secure technology, and ensure you maintain control over your information. CHARLI is compliant with Australian Digital Health Guidelines, ensuring your data is de-identified and not shared with any third parties. For further information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

I'm having issues with the app

Thank you for downloading and supporting the launch of CHARLI. It was important to release the app at this point to focus on endometriosis. As an app designed with women for women, we are asking for your feedback and input to improve CHARLI.

The volume of downloads has confirmed that Australians need this app, but this has posed some challenges, particularly for Android users.

Please be patient with us as we work through these challenges and reach out to share your feedback here

Why am I unable to add more previous cycles?

CHARLI.app is grounded on real-time data and has a limit of up to 55 days. This is based on the recognition that not all cycles adhere to the typical 28-day pattern, but if your cycle is longer than 55 days, you should be directed to your health care provider for further assessment. It is not possible or appropriate to predict menstruation or ovulation with long or irregular cycles, but you will still be able to record your symptoms with an imminent release.

Please reach out to us or share your feedback here

Why is there a charge for some feature of CHARLI. app?

The essential features of CHARLI.app are free, including symptom monitoring, health tracking, and predictive diagnostics, as well as access to fundamental evidence-based articles and expert blogs. Private chats with CHARLI will also incur a charge, but these are complimentary in the first three months

Like any health service, there are charges associated with investigations, telehealth medical and allied health services provided outside of the public health system.
